The Gelder Group consists of eight divisions -

  Design & Build
  Small Works / Maintenance
  Insurance, Repair & Renovation
  Major Contracts
  Structural Solutions
  New Homes
  Plumbing, Heating & Ventilation
  Modular Buildings

Operating from the Group's Head Office at Sturton by Stow, our North Midlands Regional Office in Barlborough and our Central Midlands office in Kettering, each of the Divisions has the benefit of employing its own specialist workforce as well also being able to utilise our pool of experienced and skilled tradesmen. This enables us to offer our clients a complete construction service.

Our core trading area covers the whole of the East Midlands and South Yorkshire areas, including the population centres of Lincoln, Nottingham, Derby, Sheffield, Rotherham, Barnsley, Doncaster, Peterborough, Leicester, Coventry and Northampton.  In total a trading area of over 25,000 square miles.  In addition to this we have also undertaken contracts as far South, North and West of the country as London, Manchester and Leeds for clients with specialist requirements.

Since being established in 1988, we have won numerous awards for the way in which we operate most notably five “National Housebuilder of the Year” awards and were pleased to be Winning Business Award WINNERS at the 2005 Lincolnshire and Rutland Business Awards.

The company’s Directors play an active role in both the development of the Group and in its day to day operations.  Management focus is on ensuring that we meet or exceed our customers’ expectations, their deadlines and their quality standards.

Our successful track record is a tangible result of the skill, vision, professionalism and commitment of our workforce of 300 employees.  Creating and sustaining an inspiring work environment for our employees is an important objective of the Group.

MD Steve Gelder welcomes HRH Prince Phillip to the official opening of Scampton Primary School’s classroom extension.

As a highly customer focused organisation, our employees are encouraged to forge good working relationships with their clients.  Given the reputation of eth construction industry in general it is not surprising that this approach is readily appreciated by our clients.

Our commitment to training leaves us well placed to achieve our Group objective of having our entire workforce trained and certified to industry standards and the Group works closely with ConstructionSkills (formerly CITB).  We strongly believe that the future success of our business and that of the construction industry as a whole is dependent on ensuring that quality young adults are both attracted into the industry and that they acquire the skills required for the future.

We believe that no other construction group works harder to satisfy the needs of its customers.
