Environmental Statement

At the Gelder group we are ceaselessly searching for, and implementing, new strategies to reduce the impact of our business endeavours on the environment. The construction industry impacts enormously on the U.K.’s environment in terms of waste generation, resource use and energy use. Our commitments to developing a sustainable and environmentally sound business are listed below:

We will:

  • Implement and operate an Environmental Management System to ISO 14001:2004 standard
  • Recycle a minimum of 85% of our waste (both in house and that generated on construction sites)
  • Strictly adhere to all new environmental legislation currently in effect and due to come into force in the near future.
  • Endeavour to incorporate sustainable and environmentally friendly technologies and techniques into every contract we undertake.
  • Raise awareness of environmental issues with all our colleagues and ensure that they are all informed and involved in the environmental development of the group.
